Biography
Dr. Tanya Williams comes to UDA not only as a highly skilled Dentist, but also as someone with an exciting World View and sense of adventure. While she may have been born in Dallas, Texas, she spent considerable lengths of time living in Germany, England, and various parts of the US East Coast. Although she holds her travel experiences close to her heart, she has always known that North Carolina is where she would call home. Dr. Williams immediately began building her career in dentistry straight out of high school and never looked back. She worked through college as a dental assistant and went on to graduate from the University of Florida College of Dentistry. She served the military in El Paso, Texas (Ft. Bliss) and then returned to Florida to work for the Department of Corrections followed by spending several years in Private practice. Upon returning to North Carolina and prior to joining UDA, Dr. Williams owned and operated her own practice in Salisbury, NC for 9 years. During this time, she also acted as President of the Rowan County Dental Society from 2014 to 2019 and even spent a few years living in Asheville. In her free time, she loves spending time outdoors, hiking and walking her beloved dog, Sophie. As a Dentist with over 30 years of experience, Dr. Williams has an unwavering passion for creating a safe space for patients to receive the highest quality dental care in an environment that allows them to relax and feel right at home. She frequently participates in continuing education to stay up to date on the newest developments and techniques so that she can adequately inform her patients of the best options for their dental care. She is eager and ready to welcome you as a patient today!
